Avoid direct sunlight. Happiest in light shade but can tolerate lower light conditions.

Avoid soil completely drying out as this will cause the leaves to wilt. Maintain an even level of moisture but avoid wet or soggy soil as this will rot the bulbs. Ensure pot is well drained.

As the oxalis is grown from bulbs, it will have a dormancy period that can range from a few weeks to a few months in order to conserve energy for a burst of new growth. During this time reduce watering frequency. Avoid having the soil too wet.
